Exchange Student USA

Things you should never do as an exchange student

It is not easy to be an exchange student USA, as there are a number of new things around you that brings many challenges and you need to deal with them on daily basis. To make your daily survival easier we’ve compiled a list of things you should never do as an exchange student.

  1. Don’t assume – Whenever you doing anything don’t assume at all. Things that are okay in your native country might not be okay in your host country like drinking alcohol.
  2. Don’t complain about your host family – First of all, this is not fair for your host family at all and the person you are complaining to could know your host family as well. The important thing is not whether your host family knows your doing this but you are essentially breaking a barrier of trust and can possibly bring them in extremely bad light. Instead, if you have a problem with them speak to them directly or to your organization.
  3. Don’t complain about your host country – Remember this is their home. How would it feel if someone went to your house and started complaining about every little thing? Remember nothing is weird it’s just different!
